To provide our automation services, we access specific data from your Shopify store and WhatsApp account.

  • Shopify Data: When you install Whatsify, we collect necessary order and customer details, including names, phone numbers, shipping addresses, and cart contents. This allows us to trigger messages (e.g., Abandoned Cart recovery, Order Confirmations).
  • WhatsApp Data: We access your WhatsApp account as a "Linked Device." This access is strictly limited to sending messages on your behalf. We do not access, read, or store your personal chats, media, or contact lists.
  • Usage Data: We collect anonymous metrics on app performance to improve our services and troubleshoot issues.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data solely to facilitate the features of the Whatsify app:

  • Automated Messaging: To send order updates, tracking links, and recovery messages to your customers.
  • Service Improvement: To analyze how our automation features are performing and optimize delivery rates.
  • Customer Support: To assist you with technical issues regarding your account setup.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties.

3. Data Security & Encryption

  • Browserless Architecture: Our automation runs on a secure, browserless backend. We interact with WhatsApp servers using encrypted Websockets solely for message delivery.
  • No Data Storage: We do not retain your customers' personal data or your WhatsApp message history on our servers. Once a message is processed, the data transaction is complete.
  • Encryption: All data transmitted between Shopify, our servers, and WhatsApp is protected using industry-standard encryption protocols (SSL/TLS).

4. Your Rights (GDPR Compliance)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify incorrect or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data from our systems ("Right to be Forgotten").

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control over your data.

  • Disconnecting: You can disconnect your WhatsApp number at any time via the app dashboard.
  • Uninstalling: If you uninstall Whatsify from your Shopify store, all access tokens and data associated with your account are immediately and permanently deleted.
